In Home Postpartum Care

As your postpartum doula, I will serve as a personal guide through the Fourth Trimester and add an extra layer of support during one of the most vulnerable, raw, and incredible points in your life. I will help you learn to navigate life with a new baby, normalize the overwhelming experiences, help you recognize when and how to reach out for extra support, and tame the chaos and clutter that newborns can sometimes bring along. Plus, I will do it all while providing nurturing, supportive care for your entire family, and while building your confidence in your new role as a parent.

All postpartum doula client support includes:

  • Focus on restorative and compassionate support for the entire family

  • Breastfeeding/Chest feeding/Bottle feeding Support

  • Parent and Baby Bonding Guidance

  • Infant Soothing Advice

  • Basic Babywearing Advice (Or, referrals for specialized care if needed)

  • Basic Newborn Care

  • Big Sibling Transition Guidance (if needed)

  • Registry and Nursery Set-up Guidance

  • Sibling Care so parents can bond with new baby

  • Newborn care so parents can bond with older siblings

  • Light Housekeeping

  • Family Laundry

  • Meal and Snack Preparation

Virtual Postpartum Care

As your virtual postpartum doula, I provide non-judgemental research-based advice and guidance to help prepare and walk you through your transition into parenthood.

Virtual postpartum doula support is an extension of the normal in-person postpartum support.  Instead of the typical in-person support, I supply emotional and educational support through online platforms including FaceTime, Zoom, Email and informational videos.  Support is provided via video calls, text and/or phone calls, and person-to-person emails.  I’m available for any questions that you may have regarding your new baby and the postpartum period in general.  If you are having any doubts about what is normal, let me know.  If you are having a bad day and feeling overwhelmed, let me know this as well. If you just want someone to talk to because you’ve been in the house all day and want to talk to someone about something other than the baby, I’m available for that also.

Perinatal Mental Health Services

As a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I have been trained to diagnose and treatment perinatal mood disorders. Although I am able to assess for mood disorders in the role of doula, official diagnosis and treatment are not within the scope of doula practice. If you are in the state of Texas and would like to receive perinatal mental health services, I would love to partner with you as a provider on the Talkspace platform.
